    A little Curious

Currently, this is my favorite character I like to work on. Curious. Her appearance has been turning out better than what I see in my head. Fellow artist, you know what's up. You see something in your head and you try to put it down on paper and it doesn't quite work out.

    Gno-body

Can you believe it, another piece of artwork posted in a weeks time. I'm butter, baby. I'm on a roll and all that. The holidays have given me a little extra time to get some work done.

This is GNO, the spiritual leader of the Wyldcardz.

Stay tuned. There's more to come.

    A Matter of Energy

I know it's been a while since I posted to my blog, but life gets in the way sometimes, and in big and spectactular ways. I finally got back to the drawing board. I like to experiment with different brushes and techniques in photoshop, so I decided to work on one of my characters from Wyldcardz. This is Rainn and she has energy based powers. I really like special effects and I think this one turned out pretty decent.

    New Stores

I've just opened a new store. I had a cafepress store, now I've opened a Zazzle store.

They both will offer different products. Go check them out.

    AtackTOO

Here, is Rumble's tattoo ready for action. Moreso than he telling it what to do, it does what it needs to do for survival. We're not sure if it's a symbiotic or parasitic relationship.

Tribal Art 2, the electric boogaloo

Here is a detail sketch of the sentient tattoo on Rumble's back. Like I stated before, the tattoo never looks the same way twice and it is a formidible weapon.

    Tribal Art

Continuing with simple sketches from my upcoming comicbook "Wyldcardz", here is a quicky of the voodoo wild child with the sentient tattoo: Rumble. He has on his body, a tattoo that never looks the same and can become pretty much what he wants it to. Rumble is a little limited with his imagination, since he only seems to use the tattoo as a weapon.

    Big Bull

Here is a sketch of one of my characters from my upcoming Wyldcardz comic book. His name is Bull. He's an interesting character. He's more than the muscle of the team, he's a capitalist. He's a cross between Donald Trump and Hulk Hogan. Bull believes he is a member of the homo habilis species (believed extinct) that has evolved and survived secretly among homo sapiens. Over the millennia they've developed an incredibly strong exoskeleton. This hasn't been confirmed yet. He may just be delusional.

    Purpose

Okay. I've found a purpose for this blog. It will be a "sketch blog". One of the exercises I plan to do are some quick drawings each morning (or as often as life will allow). I'll post them here. The drawings will be of my characters, and also, well known characters. I decided to start with an old favorite of mine: Batman.

    We all need Friends

I now have 51 friends at my MySpace page. It's an interesting and eclectic group ranging from Chad Johnson to Snoop Dog to Warren Ellis. I feel so loved.

    Golden 50

Yesterday we celebrated my inlaws' Golden 50th Wedding Anniversary. We had a ball. All of the family was there. Looking forward to celebrating my 50th Anniversary. Just 38 more years to go.

    Go Skins, die Cowboys

Oh yeah!! The Cowboys lost!!!! How sweet is that? Now all I need is for the Redskins to win tonight. Then we can look foward to the 'Skins sticking it to the Cowboys next week. So obviously, I'm a Redskins fan. My oldest son plays for an NFL Flag Football league in Waldorf, and they're the Redskins. Their first game is against the Cowboys. So I'll hopefully be celebrating 2 Redskins win over the Cowboys next week.

    Hypercomics

I have rediscovered hypercomics. Daniel Merlin Goodbrey did a hypercomic called Six Gun at Comicbook Resources a couple of years ago. I think I'm going to give it a shot. The presentation of the material is interesting. If we're moving towards a more mobile world, and comic books are to be a part of it, then we should consider other ways of presenting the stories.

    Time Experiment

I'm trying to set the date stamp correctly for my posts. There were a hundred time choices and not one simply said Eastern Standard Time. So, I'm trying what could have possibly been correct. Let's hope I didn't screw up.

Okay, I have a blog, now what??

I've decided to give blogging a try. I'm not totally sure what it's purpose will be. I know at the very least I will post artwork on here frequently. I'm modelling it after Mike Wieringo's blog. He posts art often and I enjoy his work. Check it out at www.mikewieringo.com.
